Continuity Editing
- Line of Action is a basic rule used by companies when recording a scene where the use of continuity editing is present. It means that two characters should always have the same left and right relationship to each other. When a camera crosses the ‘Line of action’ it creates a new shot is called the reverse angle. Continuity editing makes sure that no edit causes attention to itself, or makes the viewer feel confused
- Eye line match is another technique used in continuity editing, it's when a cut between two shots. In the first shot it shows a person looking in one direction and then in the second shot is someone looking back in exactly the opposite direction or a space showing what the character was looking at in the 1st shot. This normally happens when characters are having a conversation
