Improvised Script

One of the main conventions of a social realism film is an improvised script. This is as it enables the film/ trailer to seem as down to earth and real as possible. I found this out when doing research into British Social Realism films. However I did still write a script for my actors to help them understand what I wanted to achieve from each individual scene.

This is the feedback my media teacher has given me. Below is my pupil comment.

I need to make sure I don't fall behind with my media work, all the reds and oranges need to be turned green ASAP. Also i would like to get all my work to a proficient standard in order to get a good grade for my planning and research.

Photoshoot Planing

This is the plans I have created for the photos I am going to take to use for my print products. As you can see I have a range of different locations and shot types as I don't want every Photo to look the same. I used a lot of location shots as that is a convention of social realism genre.

Shot List

This is the shot list I have created for my trailer. I created the shot list so I know what I'm shooting and when. It also helped me to create my storyboard for the whole trailer. Doing this will help stop the need for reshoots as I will know what needs shooting.

Film Distribution Companies

I have done some research into film distribution companies as their logo will be included in my trailer. I felt it was important to do my research as certain companies have reputations and viewers have certain expectations of the companies. below is a list of distribution companies:-

The production company I plan to use is  Film 4 this is because it suits my genre of my film, Film 4 has distributed many social realism films.
